The PUBG Mobile K2Gamer Pakistan Universities Showdown 2023-24 Lahore LAN Qualifiers, held in collaboration with the University of Management and Technology (UMT) on 17th Jan 2024 and organized by Gamer Pakistan Inc and K2Gamer Pakistan, showcased the intense gaming competition in the LAHORE EAST CONFERENCE (LEC). Taking place at the UMT campus, this event marked a significant milestone in the growing esports culture of Pakistan.

A diverse array of teams from various 23 Universities from Lahore a capital of Punjab province did registration in which 9 teams played on Ground LAN event, including Prime from Roots Ivy – Superior – Punjab University (PU), MAGICAL RUSHERS from Virtual University (VU), 360 Esports from the University of Central Punjab (UCP), SG Esports from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, MS X 3X Esports from UMT, Terminator Gladiator from Govt Graduate College Khushab (Jauharabad), Vanquisher Esports from the University of Management and Technology(UMT), Team QRX from UMT, and Step Family from UMT, competed in the qualifiers.

The meticulous organization by Mr Salman Ahmed, Mr Farhan Ayub, and Mis Aisha Batool ensured a seamless execution of the tournament. Chief Guests Mr Syed Muhammad Mustafa (Head of Participants Affairs) and Mr Ali Raza (Incharge Sports, UMT) added prestige to the occasion. Mr. Haseeb UL Hasan, the K2Gamer Pakistan representative, contributed his expertise, elevating the overall experience.

In the competitive arena, Prime from Roots Ivy – Superior – Punjab University (PU) emerged victorious with an impressive 43 points, securing a cash prize of 5000 PKR. MAGICAL RUSHERS from Virtual University claimed the 2nd spot with 33 points, earning a cash prize of 4000 PKR. 360 Esports from the University of Central Punjab (UCP) secured the 3rd position with 28 points, bagging a cash prize of 3000 PKR. SG Esports from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, stood at the 4th position with 20 points, receiving a cash prize of 2000 PKR. Additionally, MS X 3X from UMT showcased their skills and received a cash prize of 1000 PKR.

Moreover, shields were bestowed upon the Chief Guest from K2Gamer Pakistan, while souvenirs and appreciation certificates were given to the dedicated organizers and participants.

The top 4 teams, namely Prime, MAGICAL RUSHERS, 360 Esports, and SG Esports, have successfully qualified for the Group Stage rounds. This accomplishment propels them into the next phase of the tournament, where they will contend with other top teams for supremacy and a shot at the prestigious 1 million cash prize.

This LAHORE EAST CONFERENCE (LEC) LAN Qualifiers event was not only a celebration of gaming excellence but also a testament to the thriving esports culture in Pakistan. In the realm of esports, K2Gamer Pakistan and Gamer Pakistan Inc orchestrated the 2nd edition of the national Inter Universities Esports Tournament, titled PUBG Mobile K2 Gamer Pakistan Universities Showdown 2023-24. This nationwide gaming extravaganza witnessed the participation of over 600 + teams across 16 conferences and 120 + Universities, distributed evenly across four zones, showcasing the incredible gaming talent from universities throughout Pakistan.

The tournament also featured 10 Campus LAN qualifiers held as preliminary rounds, providing emerging talents with a platform to shine and become integral members of the growing esports community.

In a bid to elevate the stakes, K2Gamer Pakistan announced an impressive 1 million cash pool prize distribution, emphasizing their commitment to acknowledging and rewarding the outstanding skills of competing teams.

As a third-party licensed PUBG Mobile Esports tournament at the national level, the event has attracted almost three hundred twenty-plus registered teams, solidifying its status as a cornerstone in the burgeoning esports culture across Pakistan.

The grand finale of the PUBG Mobile K2Gamer Pakistan Universities Showdown 2023-24 is set to take place physically (LAN) in Islamabad, where the top 16 teams from across the country will converge for an unforgettable showdown. This live event will not only determine the ultimate victors but will also serve as a testament to the unwavering dedication and passion of the esports community.
