The Elite Sports Pakistan Pvt Limited (ESP) in collaboration with the Inter Universities Consortium for the Promotion of Social Sciences Pakistan and Minhaj University Lahore being organized All Pakistan Intervarsity eSports National Championships at the Minhaj University Lahore from 29 to 30 June 2022 Insha Allah.
In this eGaming tournament, the university teams will take part from all over Pakistan. It will be the first of its own kind of official Intervarsity eSports National event where a hefty amount of cash prizes worth rupees 300,000/- set aside for the winner and runner-up teams of the tournament along with cash prizes for the team’s officials and director sports of the participating universities.
It would be pertinent to mention that the winning team of the said event will take part in the Pakistan Vs. Indian Universities Games Dhaka Bangladesh which will be held in the month of August this year. Secondly, the winning team will also be awarded a professional card to play abroad in professional eSports leagues along with annual scholarships worth five Thousand US dollars.
The Minhaj University Lahore and Elite Sports Pakistan have joined hands to bring forth this event keeping in view the new norms and changes in the areas of science and technology and to cater to the digital eGaming needs of students in a befitting manner. This event also going to provide an official platform for the students to educate and adopt esports in a healthy and balanced manner where their health and studies don’t suffer in the course of their routine life. The students of participating universities are taking a keen interest in this esports event as this event is not only going to be served esports but also about setting rules and regulations and other prerequisites for playing eGaming and developing its culture in the academic institutions.
Elite Sports Pakistan is striving for university sports commercialization in various sports disciplines in the country to generate revenue streams for the universities through establishing sports conferences, creating star players and their fan followings, establishing merchandising sports in the universities, sourcing alumni funding, and sponsorship. In its endeavors, it has been quite successful in signing off university sports commercialization agreements with a number of public and private sector universities and held a number of esports events in various universities across Pakistan.
