Elite Sports Paksitan Pvt. Limited (ESP) and Inter Universities Consortium for the Promotion of Social Sciences Pakistan (IUCPSS) recently joint venture to launch a “1st, Inter Universities Esports Championship 2021” starting from 28th May 2o21 at Skills University Islamabad for the Promotion and welfare of the University students to provide them a proper forum to exhibit their computational skills and mean time to develop their cognitive, analytical and team skills in odd situations of CoVID-19 when everything is locked down.
Mr. Muzammil Khan Wazeeri Director Elite Sports Pakistan Pvt Limited briefed the meeting participants about the scope and application of the Esports while Muhammad Jamal Qureshi C.E.O informed the meeting attendees about the company future course of action, event details, and other sporting projects which would initiate in collaboration with the IUCPSS to commercialize the universities sports and to provide a most appropriate and develop a sporting model to the Universities students of Pakistan which not only engage the youth in healthy sporting activities but would also be a source of showcasing their talent at national and international level. It would also prove to be a gateway for winning their full scholarship at International universities. He defines the said eSports event procedure by creating each university team name and logo and recording their statistics in terms of winning and losing and projecting the star and key players in their University campuses and media will create the fan following and hype among the youngsters and potential stakeholders of the said event which ultimately benefit students studies and their overall development.
On the occasion, Dr. Mukhtiar Vice Chancellor of National Skills University who is ex-chairman and founder of the IUCPSS addressed the audience and appreciated the efforts and work being done by the IUCPSS and Elite Sports Pakistan for the betterment and welfare of the students in the field of sports. He expressed his great concerns about the need for eSports in the unprecedented times of CoVID-19 and emphasized the significance of computer gaming’s in developing students’ various kinds of soft skills. He assured his best possible support for the success of the said event and future projects which has been laid out by the ESP and IUCPSS. Mr. Noor Murtaza apprised the house about the joint ventures which IUCPSS and ESP wish to undertake in the future whereas he also spoke about the procedure and processes which we will be adopted to execute the said event in a befitting manner keeping in view all the CoVID-19 protocols and other rules and regulations of the tournament. He also mentioned that when University teams will play their unique team name, logos it will have a significant impact on the Promotion and projection of University sports and it will also bring a boom in university sports at university campuses through the collaboration of the IUCPSS and ESP.
