Quetta, Balochistan – A historic memorandum of understanding (MOU) was formally signed today, marking the inception of a groundbreaking partnership between Elite Sports Pakistan (ESP) and Government Postgraduate Science College Quetta. This landmark collaboration promises to revolutionize sports in Balochistan and contribute to the broader vision of sports development and commercialization in Pakistan.
The MOU signing ceremony, held at the college campus on the 24th of October, 2023, brought together key figures from both institutions. Mr. Kabeer Khan, the Regional Sports Coordinator of Elite Sports Pakistan, represented ESP. On the other side, Government Postgraduate Science College Quetta was represented by Mr. Prof Arbab Asghar Kasi, Director of Sports, and Mr. Prof Tanveer Hussain.
Speaking on this significant occasion, Mr. Muhammad Jamal Qureshi, the CEO of Elite Sports Pakistan, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Today, we’ve taken a major step forward in advancing sports in Balochistan Colleges. This collaboration with Government Postgraduate Science College Quetta, with its impressive student body of 7000, signifies our commitment to fostering a culture of sports commercialization in the region.”
Elite Sports Pakistan has a broader vision of promoting sports at various levels, from universities and colleges to schools and even the professional realm in Pakistan. In attendance were Assistant Professor Arbab Asghar Kasi, the Director of Physical Education, and Associate Professor Tanveer Hussain, Head of the Sports Department at the college. Both sides reaffirmed their dedication to providing the best services to ESP and nurturing the athletic potential of Balochistan’s youth.
