Islahuddin Siddique (born 10 January 1948, in Meerut, India) is a revered figure in field hockey, celebrated as one of the most successful captains of the Pakistan Hockey Team. His professional career spanned from 1967 to 1979, during which he scored over 100 goals and contributed to many more.

Greatest Sporting Achievements

As captain, Islahuddin led Pakistan to a grand slam victory in 1978, securing the Asian Games, World Cup, and Champions Trophy titles. His medal collection includes 10 golds, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze. Notably, he won gold at the 1970 Asian Games, the first World Cup in 1971, silver at the 1972 Olympics, and bronze at the 1976 Olympics. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, the Government of Pakistan awarded him the “Pride of Performance” in 1982.
