The PUBG Mobile K2Gamer Pakistan Universities Showdown 2023-24 Tournament marked a significant milestone in Pakistan’s gaming scene. Organized collaboratively by Gamer Pakistan Inc. and K2 Gamer Pakistan, the tournament showcased the burgeoning enthusiasm and talent within the country’s university gaming community.

The journey of this thrilling competition began on December 21st, 2023, with registrations opening up to gamers nationwide. Over 600 teams participated in both LAN and online events, reflecting the immense interest and skill present in Pakistan’s university gaming circles.

Teams were grouped into four zones – East, West, North, and South – and competed through a structured series of events, including Interzone qualifiers, group stage rounds, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and ultimately, 17 Teams in the grand finale. The tournament witnessed rigorous competition and fierce battles, culminating in the crowning of the victorious team, Metershot Esport from Future World College.

Grand Finale Highlights:

The Grand Finale, held over three days, comprised both online and LAN events. The offline matches took place at The Grand Hotel Millenium Lahore on the 7th & 8th of March 2024. Metershot Esport emerged victorious, securing the top position and a cash prize of 1 lac Pakistani Rupees. Additionally, Octane from Metershot Esport claimed the MVP for their exceptional performance. Here is the Prize money description,

1. Metershot Esport received the top prize of 1 lac Pakistani Rupees.
2. Team Guts and Glory from Punjab College secured 2nd position with a cash prize of Rs. 60,000.
3. Team R9 from SUPREME LAW College gained 3rd position with a prize of Rs. 40,000.
4. Seven esports from Superior University Rwp Campus secured 4th position, receiving Rs. 30,000 in cash prize.
5. Team Oxygen (OXY) from Punjab University secured 5th position, also receiving Rs. 30,000 in cash prize.
6. Additionally, the 141 x Officials from the Invited Team from AS Group of Company secured the 6th position, earning a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.
7. Team Nightmare from IQRA NATIONAL UNIVERSITY gained 7th position, also receiving a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.
8. Rule Breakers x 4v from Foundation University earned 8th position with Rs. 20,000.
9. Agonxi8 from Balochistan University earned 9th Position with 20,000.
10. 7BANDITS ESPORTS  from Comsats University Islamabad Attock Campus 10th position with Rs.20,000.
11. Team ALIVE from Comsats University Islamabad earned 20,000 in the 11th position.
12.  TEAM F2D from IMSCIENCES earned 12th position with Rs. 20000.
13.  North Face Pakistan from Iqra University earned Rs 20000 on 13th position.
14. MERCILESS EMPIRE  from the University of Narowal earned 20000 in the 14th position.
15. The NameLess from SABS University earned 15th position with Rs 20000 cash.
16.  H2e esports from the University of Central Punjab gained 16th position with Rs.20000. 
17.  Red Death from Comsats Wah Cantt also earned Rs. 20000 in the 17th position.

Guests of honor on the final day included notable figures in the gaming community such as Teenwolf Pubg Mobile YouTuber, Hafiz Adeel Professional Tekken player, Ahsan professional Tekken player,  Hafiz Tanveer professional Tekken player, and, Waleed professional Freefire Player. The CEO, Muhammad Jamal Qureshi, expressed his optimism for the gaming industry’s growth in Pakistan and congratulated the winning teams personally, distributing trophies and prizes.

In addition to cash prizes, participants received certificates, medals, and customized designed shirts. The staff and guests were also honored with shields and giveaway shirts as tokens of appreciation for their support and presence at the event.
